Role Description: Graduate Electrical Engineer
Are you a Graduate Electrical Engineer with a passion for designing and supporting cutting-edge technology? AST Reygar is seeking a skilled Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team. Specialising in IoT and big data analytics, we provide remote monitoring systems for the maritime and industrial sectors, with customers all around the globe. Responsibilities and Deliverables:
- Initial engagement with customers to establish monitoring requirements and interfaces to existing electrical systems
- Electrical design of systems – these can be quite simple DIN-rail mounted equipment or more complex cabinet-mounted equipment
- Remotely supporting electrical technicians to install and commission equipment
- Supporting customers with their ongoing use of our existing products, including troubleshooting problems remotely providing information, processing orders, troubleshooting problems, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Ensuring health & safety regulations are being always met.
This is a dynamic role that requires strong self-motivation and a proactive attitude. You’ll need to adapt to varying demands throughout busy periods and show enthusiasm for continuous improvement in technical solutions.

Essential Experience / Qualifications / Educational attainments

- Understanding and practical application of fault-finding principles
- Understanding of generic Project Management principles
- Ability to Multitask
- Basic electrical engineering skills
- Ability to build hardware/systems from schematics and assembly instructions
- Reliable time management skills
- Excellent IT skills
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of PLC Programming
- Experience using Jira Software
- GitHub
- TCP/IP networking
- LUA/Python
- Linux/Unix system administration
- Safe to climb qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
